Care Guidelines
Play Mat Care Instructions
After receiving your play mat:
- Remove the mat from all packaging materials (e.g., shrink wrap).
- Wipe down both sides of the mat using a cloth and a light solution of either dish soap and water or white vinegar and water.
- If using dish soap, ensure you wipe down the mat afterward with a damp cloth (water only) to remove any soap residue.
- Avoid soaking the tiles or using excessive water or cleaning solution.
- Place the foam (non-patterned) side of the tiles facing up and allow them to dry completely in a well-ventilated area for 24 hours before assembling and using.
- Before placing the mat on the floor, make sure the floor area is clean and completely dry.
Note: Failing to follow these steps may result in damage to your play mat or flooring.
Caring for Your Play Mat:
- Clean your mat with a cloth or sponge using mild soap and water, and ensure it’s thoroughly dried afterward. Avoid abrasive cleaners such as window or floor cleaners, acetone, or alcohol, as these may cause permanent damage to the mat.
- For minor spills, clean them immediately with a dry cloth. Most spills are easy to wipe up, but avoid materials that may cause staining, like paint or highly pigmented items.
- Do not clean the mat with a vacuum cleaner, as this may damage it.
- Although the mat may resemble a rug, it’s not intended for heavy soaking or the use of large amounts of water. Always ensure the mat is completely dry to prevent moisture from being trapped underneath.
- When cleaning under the mat, make sure the area is fully dry before placing the mat back in place.
Note: Improper care may result in damage to both the mat and your flooring.
Best Use Recommendations:
- Use your play mat in any room where extra padding and comfort are needed. It serves as an excellent alternative to traditional rugs.
- Set up the mat on hard flooring or low-pile carpets. You can secure it by anchoring it against a wall or using a heavy toy basket.
- Avoid placing heavy furniture on the mat, as it may leave indentations. For mat placement in the middle of the room, consider using a non-slip rug pad for extra stability.
